Summary: LOCK ON!
Ace apparently had personal space issues. He was Luffy’s brother, so it was only natural that he had some issues, but Usopp couldn’t really remember him feeling the need to stand so close when they’d first met in Alabasta.
Sogeking just smiled, because that meeting between Ace and Usopp had been so fleeting that it was no wonder Usopp hadn’t noticed such a thing. And perhaps, he reasoned gently, Ace had felt no need to stand so close to Usopp, but he couldn’t help but crowd closer to the comforting presence of Sogeking, King of Sniper Island and genuine hero.
That made sense, Usopp had to agree.
There was also the fact that Sogeking was the world’s most celebrated sniper and was bound to be able to see things that Usopp couldn’t, was bound to able to lock on to every nuance of adoration amongst his fans, and that made Usopp a little petulant but he couldn’t really argue with the logic.
“You’re safe now, Ace-kun,” Sogeking announced dramatically, hands on his hips and chin held high.
Ace glanced back over his shoulder at the fallen enemies Sogeking had eliminated with ease, before taking another step closer, which Usopp hadn’t thought possible but Sogeking assured him was just a sign of appreciation.
“Thank you, Sogeking,” Ace replied, and his voice was as rich and amused as Usopp remembered. “I’ve seen your Wanted poster, but I hadn’t expected to meet like this.”
“Never fear!” Sogeking cried with a flourish of his cape. “If you are ever in dire peril, Sogeking will be there to protect you!”
“That’s good to know,” Ace said, and Usopp couldn’t help but notice the way one of Ace’s fingers had hooked under the strap of his bag.
“I shall fly from Sniper Island to your side,” Sogeking continued triumphantly, understanding that Ace simply needed reassurance that he was truly face-to-face with such a legend, that Sogeking wasn’t a figment of his imagination.
“I’d like that,” Ace purred, and his finger followed the line of the bag, trailing a warm path up Sogeking’s chest.
“I am always with you! For Sniper Island,” Sogeking allowed his head to dip, eyes closing serenely as he paused for effect. “Is in your heart.”
Ace’s finger tapped lightly over Sogeking’s own heart. “Would you be terribly offended,” Ace murmured, watching Sogeking through hooded eyes. “If I admitted it wasn’t your heart I was hoping to get into?”
Eh, thought Usopp.
“Eh?” said Sogeking, although he still managed to sound wise and valiant. Of course.
Ace’s hand slid higher, fingers disappearing under the edge of Sogeking’s cape to tug gently at the clasps of his overalls, and Usopp trembled at each light click as they released.
Oh, thought Usopp.
“Eh?” said Sogeking, before he cleared his throat slightly.
By which point Ace had tugged his overalls down to his waist and was already working on the sash stopping their progress. “You don’t make this easy, do you?” he asked, sounding bemused as he fiddled with the fabric.
“I, uh, Sogeking will do whatever he can to help those in need!” Sogeking cried.
“Could you help me with this knot, then?” Ace smiled.
Usopp had a horrible feeling everything was spiralling out of control, but Sogeking was already dutifully untying the sash and Usopp had no idea how to stop him.
The material fell to the ground, and Ace’s hands reached towards Sogeking’s face.
“The mask stays!” Sogeking barked authoritatively.
His overalls slid down his thighs.
Ace raised an eyebrow.
“Well, I suppose it does make things more interesting,” he mused, and his grin grew sharper as he leaned forward, chest pressing against Sogeking’s own, lips at Sogeking’s neck, and his breath was hot enough to scorch, even as Usopp shivered with the draft around his midriff.
“I, uh, yes, yes it does,” Sogeking agreed, trying to find the confidence in his voice as Ace dropped to his knees.
Oh God, thought Usopp.
“Oh God,” moaned Sogeking.
Ace’s mouth was like molten heat around him, only there was no pain there, just sensation and friction, just Ace’s tongue and instant suction, and Usopp was shuddering and trying to make tiny little noises, and Sogeking was just trying to breathe.
Usopp may not have had all that much experience, but Sogeking had and he was quite enthusiastic in his appreciation for Ace’s technique.
Sogeking’s hands tangled in Ace’s hair, petting at it and tugging a little, but Ace only hummed around him, rocking against him, letting Sogeking’s hips and fingers set the pace. Which was fast and hard and more than a little frantic, and exactly what Usopp needed. He was already so close, on the edge of a great precipice, and Sogeking may not have felt any fear when staring over the side of an endless cliff, but Usopp was shivering apart with the adrenaline of it, with pleasure and lust and terror and need.
Sogeking’s hands pulled at Ace’s hair in warning, and he shakily reminded Usopp that it was important to always be a gentleman and alert your partner at such moments, but Ace only made a hungry noise against him, and began to suck in earnest, and Usopp knew he was about to embarrass himself and didn’t even care.
“Lu lu la la luu,” Sogeking sang rather desperately.
For a moment he could almost feel Ace smile around him, and then his release rushed through him, burning as brightly as a Sure-Kill Fire Bird Star, locking on and blasting him apart, and Sogeking and Usopp whimpered together as the world shuddered beneath them.
Ace was standing, wrapped around him and supporting his weight, when Sogeking blinked the sparks from his eyes. Ace’s mouth was at his neck again, his body moving languidly against him, hips rolling against Sogeking’s thigh.
Such a sweet boy, Sogeking mused with fuzzy affection, dizzy with warmth. Perhaps Ace had simply been lying when he’d said he hadn’t wanted to get into Sogeking’s heart.
Usopp scoffed and allowed himself to be distracted from where he was taking great interest in the way Ace was rubbing over him. He meant he wanted to get into your pants, he explained.
“I knew that,” Sogeking muttered, and Ace pulled back just enough to frown at him in confusion.
Sogeking and Usopp could both be glad the mask hid any blushing.

Date: 14/09/2008 07:54 (UTC)The image of Sogeking with a giant dollar sign medallion and a set of those blinged out brassed knuckles wth his name on may stay with me for the rest of my life. And I thank you for that.

Date: 14/09/2008 16:36 (UTC)I think it would be amazing if Sniper Island existed. They'd dock there and Usopp would have a serious moment of I told you so while everyone just stood in jaw-dropping disbelief.
He could punch people in the face and leave big Sogeking shaped bruises! And you're welcome.
