All that time spent locked away in her tower, dreaming of the outside world, yet Rapunzel never pictured anything quite like this.
Toontown is an explosion of frenetic energy, bright lights and loud noises.
Everywhere she looks, there’s something new to make her gape in disbelief, whether it’s buildings with lazily drooping eyes, or dragons in all different colours and sizes, or animals that talk and wear clothes and walk on their hind legs.
And then there’s Jessica.
Jessica Rabbit is tall and curvy and mesmerising, and when their eyes meet Rapunzel feels inexperienced and restless and like there’s heat pooling in her stomach. All it takes is a flutter of those painted eyelids and Rapunzel can feel her face flushing, pink across her cheeks and down her chest, suddenly too warm beneath her clothes.
Jessica smirks at her, one hand cocked against the swell of her hip, the purple of her gloves looking smooth and sleek against the magenta shimmer of her dress. She raises the other hand, kisses her palm, gaze never leaving Rapunzel’s face. Splays her fingers and blows with a round, pursed mouth, and Rapunzel watches with awe as an imprint of her lips flaps through the air like a scarlet butterfly, impossible yet real.
The lipstick mark lands on Rapunzel’s cheek, firm enough that she rocks a little, knowing her own mouth is hanging open, her eyes wide with shock.
“Later,” Jessica purrs like a promise, and then she’s turning, sashaying away, the sway of her hips utterly hypnotic.
Rapunzel watches her go, her breathing uneven and heart racing beneath her ribs, feeling Jessica’s lipstick mark upon her cheek like a brand.
