Emma smirks, hands tight around Ruby’s wrists. Pinning them against the mattress, bare chests pressed together, and Ruby arches up, rubbing herself over all that lovely bare skin.
Emma likes to be in control, to be in charge, and Ruby respects that, she does. But Emma also needs to learn to respect what it means to be with a wolf.
She’s tried playing nice. Keeping Emma distracted with deep and dirty kisses that leave them both breathless, giving Ruby an opportunity to roll them over, because the wolf yearns for dominance.
But every time Emma rolls them back, straddles Ruby’s waist or pushes her down with her weight. Figures Emma’s as bullheaded as her parents, and Ruby decides it’s time to make things clear.
She growls low in her throat, watching the way Emma’s pupils dilate, her lips parting with this small, wet sound that makes Ruby throb. This time she puts her strength into it, her supernatural strength, and Emma winds up sprawled on her back, held fast, as Ruby stares into her eyes.
“If you want to be with me,” Ruby purrs, watching the way Emma’s eyelashes flutter, feeling the way she flexes against Ruby’s grip, “you’re going to have to learn to submit.”
Emma’s smile spreads slowly, and she licks her lips, the air around them tasting like lust. “I can do that,” she answers, voice husky, and Ruby grins, the wolf inside her relishing the way Emma offers her throat to the hunger of Ruby’s kisses.
