100_women, prompt "lemon".
Okay, maybe she’s being a little mean. She and Tinker Bell are supposed to be friends now, so she should probably stop with the teasing.
It’s just that Tinker Bell makes it so easy.
Vidia tries to hide her laughter behind her hand, although judging by the way Tinker Bell is glaring at her, she’s not doing such a great job of keeping her enjoyment of the moment a secret. Or maybe Tinker Bell isn’t glaring on purpose, because right now her whole face is scrunched up, cheeks pink and nose wrinkled, eyes watering as she flaps her hands in front of her face.
Tinker Bell isn’t a new fairy any more, not really. But there’s still all sorts of things she hasn’t tried or experienced, and she does have a habit of having to find things out for herself and not just taking people’s word for it when they warn her away from danger.
Not that the lemon is dangerous, but it’s certainly not a pleasant feeling to end up with a mouthful of lemon juice. And Vidia had tried to tell her that, but Tinker Bell didn’t listen, just like always. And, in all honesty, Vidia wasn’t trying very hard to stop her, because she kind of wanted to see that look on Tinker Bell’s face when she got a mouthful of sharp, bitter citrus.
“I need something salty!” Tinker Bell shrieks, feet kicking out and words slurring as she tries to rub her fingers down her tongue. “I need something sweet!”
And this is the part where Vidia could redeem herself by helping, but she’s too busy laughing.
Right up until Tinker Bell lurches close and presses their lips together.
Vidia makes a high squeaking sound, and somehow Tinker Bell’s tongue ends up inside her mouth, and Vidia definitely isn’t laughing any more.
Tinker Bell pulls back after what feels like hours, sighing softly with relief. “Thanks, Vidia,” she smiles, wiping the back of one hand over her eyes. “That was salty and sweet. Much better than the taste of lemon!”
She gives a wink and a cheeky grin, and then she’s soaring up into the air, leaving a trail of pixie dust in her wake.
There’s the slight aftertaste of lemon in Vidia’s mouth, but she barely notices it, eyes wide and mouth hanging open, too caught up in the taste of Tink.
