He’s blushing, which makes Nami want to giggle. But she knows better, knows how he’ll react to her laughing in his face. So she suppresses it, coughs slightly around the grin, uses it as an excuse to cover her mouth.
Zoro’s struggling for the right words, judging by the way his mouth hangs open. Or maybe his brain has finally cracked under the pressure, she can’t be sure.
She wants to snort with laughter, she wants to cuff him over the head and tell him to stop being so stupid. She wants to remind him that she is a girl and if he’s failed to notice that by now, maybe he has more serious problems than she thought. She wants to remind him of what they’ve done together, of what he’s done to her, lost in the heat and the passion and the dark of her room. She wants to describe it all in graphic detail, just to see if she can make his ears turn any more red. She wants to make him squirm, and she wants to kiss the corner of his mouth, she wants to roll her eyes and sigh and look at him in that affectionate way that makes him leave the room in a hurry, confused and embarrassed and grumpy with anyone who dares approach him for the rest of the day.
But mostly, she really really wants to laugh at him.
“That’s mine,” she says with an admirably controlled voice, as if he needs to be told, before reaching over and plucking the lacy pink bra from his fingers. “Unless you were thinking finders-keepers..?”
Zoro freezes, before collecting the rest of his clothes in a slightly more frenzied state than before, and he’s still blushing and she doesn’t have the heart to tell him that his t-shirt is inside out.
Nami manages to wait until he’s practically dived out of the door before muffling her laughter into her pillow.
