Aww, thank you so much for delurking to leave the wonderful comments, and I am so sorry it took me so long to respond. One of the things I love about Zoro and Sanji's relationship is how they're so often on the same page but just choosing to read the text in different languages, as it were - usually it's used for comic effect, with them both managing to offend/piss off the other without even realising it, but Thriller Bark was the first time it was used to such heartbreaking effect. I still haven't watched the end of TB in the anime because I know it'll destroy me. :(
