Usopp/Nami can be so adorable, because they're on the same wavelength, they understand each other's and their own limitations and they make such a solid team. And Luffy/Nami is one of those ships that just works, it doesn't need any explanation, because it's all right there on the page. Arlong Park destroyed me when I first read it, I was just emotionally smacked in the face (that's when I realised OP wasn't just another shounen) and one of the things that really stuck in my mind afterwards was 'those two (Luffy & Nami) are gonna look after each other until they're old and grey'. I mean, every one of the Straw Hats will always look out for one another, but if they go their separate ways (if Sanji opens his restaurant, if Usopp goes back to Kaya, if Zoro wanders around being lost), I always imagine Nami will always follow Luffy, no matter where he goes. I think I may be rambling. I'm a multi-shipper for OP, and I'll ship anyone with anyone, and yet I feel so passionately about every individual ship. I don't understand my brain. XD
