Darcy’s in a bad mood. Honestly, Darcy’s bad moods are kind of adorably hilarious, but Gwen has a feeling it’s her fault. Not that she knows what she’s done to deserve it, but Darcy keeps shooting her these pissy little looks that make it clear she’s to blame.
“So, gonna tell me what I’ve done wrong?” Gwen asks, curling up on the couch and offering Darcy a spring roll. Which Darcy refuses, so she must be in a bad mood.
“Don’t play innocent with me,” she grouses, glaring over the top of her glasses. “You’ve been torturing me all day!”
“You’ve lost me,” Gwen deadpans.
“Those!” Darcy barks, pointing dramatically at Gwen’s feet. “How am I expected to control myself when you’re walking around in those shoes?!”
Gwen glances down at the offending petal pink shoes. They’re an old favourite that she decided to bring back to London after her last visit home to New York.
“Okay, I know you have a fetish for me in boots,” she sighs, and Darcy doesn’t even try to deny it. If anything, she looks kind of smug. “But these aren’t boots, they’re brogues.”
“They’re sexy as hell, is what they are,” Darcy argues. “And we’ve been working, so I couldn’t touch you.”
Gwen gives her a shrewd look. “We’re not working anymore,” she points out.
Darcy grins and pounces, and Gwen laughs against Darcy’s lips.
She’ll be keeping the shoes on, although the same can’t be said for the rest of her clothes.
