It was frustrating. Lying there, helpless, defeated, as his precious Nami-san raced to steal the number two key. Raised to never kick a woman, and until that moment he’d never wanted to.
Frustrating, because he’d failed where the other Straw Hats had triumphed.
Frustrating, because the delay he’d caused could only mean Robin drifting further away.
Frustrating, because his inability to win could put Nami in danger.
And yet his mind couldn’t help but wander to the way her hands had moved over him, slippery slide against skin and fabric, frantic but frictionless. All frustrating in a very different way.
