They’re the only ones still celebrating. Nami had excused herself first. Luffy had passed out shortly after that. Chopper had watched him fall, then promptly mimicked him. Zoro had sighed and hauled them both down to the boy’s cabin.
So, it’s just them, Sanji and Usopp and a near-empty barrel of rum. Singing and laughing, stories and lies. Nobody around to see when drunken shoving leads to drunken sprawling, nobody around to see the accidental press of lips to lips. Nobody around to see the blushes, the apologies, expressions shocked.
Nobody around to see the second kiss, or the third.
