Kaya keeps the Wanted poster pinned beside her window. Sometimes, late at night, when she’s surrounded by textbooks and medical journals, and her eyelids feel heavy, she’ll glance up at it. See Usopp’s face, as clearly as if it wasn’t hidden behind that mask, and it’s almost like he’s standing outside her window again, with a new story and a familiar smile.
She waits patiently for his return, heart filled with a warmth she can’t describe, such pride, because Usopp can help her find the strength she needs to get through each day, even when he’s so very far away.
